‘Independence Day: Resurgence” Trailer is Here and It’s AMAZING

Twenty years after the release of Independence Day, the long-awaited Independence Day: Resurgence, is finally here with its first .

And while has posted all of the Independence Day 2 casting calls surrounding the new , it's always interesting to see how the movie has shaped up and developed in the last few months.

“I spent 20 years trying to get us ready for this,” says Jeff Goldblum's character, David Levinson, in the clip. “We used their to strengthen our planet. But it won't be enough.”

The sequel will show Earth being threatened again by aliens who have even stronger weapons than before. , Jessie , Sela Ward and Gainsbourg will appear in teh sequel as new characters. Alongside Goldblum, Bill Pullman, , Brent Spiner and Judd Hirsch are reprising their roles from the first film.

Independence Day: Resurgence will be released in theaters on June 24, 2016.
