The Highly Anticipated Remake of ‘The Room’ Will Feature Bob Odenkirk as Johnny, the Role Originally Played by Tommy Wiseau
Following the success of The Disaster Artist, the cult classic movie The Room has been remade with Bob Odenkirk taking on Tommy Wiseau’s character, Johnny – an iconic role sure to captivate audiences far and wide. When news of the remake spread, many were skeptical that it was happening. To ease all doubts, Odenkirk took to Twitter to confirm his part in the production “This is real. This is true. And let me tell you, I tried my best to SELL every line, as honestly as I could…and I had a BLAST.”
Recent information affirms that the project is in progress with the support of Acting for a Cause, and proceeds will be granted to amfAR, an AIDS research charity. Although scant details are known about the remake of The Room, one thing remains sure: Acting for a Cause founder Brando Crawford is helming this cinematic journey as both director and producer. We anticipate launching sometime this spring!
