How much of an impact do celebrity endorsements really influence election results?

Nearly every A-list actor, musician and reality star has commented on the U.S. Presidential election. But do celebrity endorsements actually matter? While, celebrities can draw more people to events and rallies, which can help increase buzz surrounding a campaign.

However, analysts, pundits and scholars argue that celebrity endorsements have little to no effect whatsoever when it comes to persuading voters one way or the other.

However, there are rare situations that make a celebrity endorsement effective. “It’s effective if the celebrity already has an established position on the issue you’re talking about,”Joshua Goodman, VP of PR firm SKD Knickerbocker.
