Chris Hemsworth won’t retire Thor’s hammer soon!
Can you blame him? He’s so good at being Thor that fans can’t imagine anyone else playing this iconic Marvel role.
While there are rumors that the latest installment of Thor would be Chris’ last and that he is no longer under contractual obligation with Marvel Studios, Chris was fast to quell these rumors in an interview with Deadline. In the same interview, he says he will only stop playing the god of thunder when “someone says get off the stage.”
The actor has reprised his role in three sequels and four Avengers movies, but many questions remain unanswered. Hemsworth even joked in an interview that how could Thor’s character be retired when he is only 1500 years old.
Chris Hemsworth is an Australian actor. He first rose to prominence in his native Australia, playing Kim Hyde in the Australian television series Home and Away (2004–07). Hemsworth’s older brothers, Luke and Liam, are also actors.
He has played Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Thor (2011), ‘The Avengers’ (2012), ‘Thor: The Dark World’ (2013), ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (2015), ‘Doctor Strange’ (2016), ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ (2017), ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018), and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019).
He will be joined in the latest installment, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ by Natalie Portman.
