Netflix renews ‘Daredevil’ for a second season and hires brand new showrunners.
According to reports, after only eleven days on the streaming service, Netflix plans on releasing a second season of the hit action series.
‘Daredevil’ features Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire) and is the first of five Marvel series to debut on the streaming service. The series is expected to return in 2016.
The series will lead into Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage before all four combine for the miniseries ‘The Defenders’.
‘Daredevil’ centers around a blind lawyer, with his other senses superhumanly enhanced, fights crime as a costumed superhero. ‘Daredevil’ features Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson.
The renewal shows that Netflix does not give up on their original content as every original show receives a second season. Netflix’s original drama roster also consists of Bloodline, The Crown, House of Cards, Longmire, Marco Polo, Narcos, Sens8, The Get Down, The OA, Montauk and dramedy Orange Is the New Black, among others.
