Dumb and Dumber To cut Jennifer Lawrence from the movie

Jennifer Lawrence’s next movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, hits theaters on November 21st. But a little known fact is that Lawrence filmed a cameo in Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels Dumb and Dumber sequel.

The same time Dumb and Dumber To was filming in Atlanta, Jennifer Lawrence was in the area filming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. During that point in time the 24-year old actress landed a cameo in Dumb and Dumber To. However, according to reports, Jennifer Lawrence told the movie studio to remove her scene from the movie.

Lawrence’s filmed cameo in Dumb and Dumber To [wound] up on the cutting-room floor. Sources says Lawrence shot the scene in Georgia last fall (the Dumber set was near theMockingjay shoot location) but retained the right to nix it if she didn’t like it — a right that she exercised. But Bobby and Peter Farrelly, who directed the comedy, and Lawrence’s camp deny that claim. (Via)

Details as to why the scene was cut have not been revealed. But, it is reasonable to believe that following the recent nude phone scandal and the release of her new movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 the actress is trying to create a clean image. Something that may be difficult to do in a Farrelly Brothers movie.
