World Cup Fan lands modeling contract after her photo goes viral.
At the 2014 World Cup a cheering Belgian Fan lands a modeling contract. Her team was knocked out by Argentina on Wednesday, but Axelle Despiegelaere landed a new career after photos of her cheering went viral.
Fans in Brazil have celebrated the World Cup in millions of different ways. But, one pretty blonde Belgian caught the eyes of millions across the world as she cheered on the national team against Russia.
Axelle Despiegelaere, wearing Belgian colors and waving pom-poms, was supporting the Belgium team when a photographer snapped a photo of her.
The photo ended up on newspapers all over the world, and became a viral sensation due to the young lady’s looks and national pride.
Since the photo she has gained over 18,000 followers and a modeling contract with L’Oreal Professional.
On Tuesday, Despiegelaere posted the good news, writing: “Made my decision, signed my contract with L’Oreal!” along with a snapshot of her in brand T-shirt still supporting the Belgium team, which is nicknamed the Red Devils. [THR]
The 17 year-old’s future seems really promising. Since she is one of the few models to ever be discovered during a sporting event. Pamela Anderson was first spotted wearing a Labatt beer T-shirt during a Lions football game in 1989. Her image made the entire crowd roar, and she suddenly became a celebrity covering Playboy a few months later.
