Fox’s ‘Deadpool’ Movie is Ramping Up Production

Date:

Fox’s ‘Deadpool’ movie is ramping up production and coming soon.

Deadpool has been a highly coveted superhero for dedicated comic book fans for decades. Hollywood has featured several superheroes and even rebooted several classics over the years. However, Deadpool was never a character movie producers had plans on releasing. This was most likely due to the character’s over the top antics which would cause for the movie to require a hard-R rating. Consequently, many producers scared to touch the production. But, over the last couple of years, the Deadpool character changed from an overly aggressive and often psychotic super hero to a comical anti-hero that consistently breaks the fourth wall. Moreover, the reinvention of a an audience friendly Hulk character increased the chances of producing a Deadpool movie.

It was not until the latest movie in the X-Men franchise was released, ‘Days of Future Past‘ did Hollywood recognize the possibility of producing ‘Deadpool‘ the movie. ‘Days of Future Past‘ made $750 million worldwide and according to reports, Fox is finally making an ‘X-Men’ spinoff featuring ‘Deadpool’ set to be released on February 12, 2016.

‘Deadpool’ will star Ryan Reynolds and will be directed by Tim MIller, the visual effects director most known for creating the title sequence of ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’.

Since the Deadpool movie is coming out in only 15 months from now, it probably indicates that filming is set to begin at any moment. But, it also suggests that Fox does not believe the Deadpool movie will be a blockbuster hit like Wolverine.

The Deadpool movie will be released three months before the next X-Men movie, X-Men Apocalypse, and a year before Wolverine 3.

Due to the Deadpool’s borderline insane antics that are miles away from mainstream audiences, it will be hard to know if the movie will match up to fan’s expectations or if the movie will be watered down to attract general audience members.
