John Boyega Provides Update on Highly Anticipated ‘Attack the Block Sequel
Acclaimed British actor John Boyega recently shared an exciting update regarding the highly anticipated sequel to Joe Cornish’s 2011 South London sci-fi film, Attack the Block. Although the sequel was officially confirmed in 2021, Boyega took to social media to prove its release might be on the horizon.
During an interview with Radio Times earlier this year, Boyega revealed, “We’re currently developing the story and script. The prospect of returning to London, filming this movie, and reprising this character fills me with immense joy. Over the years, Joe [Cornish] and I have undergone significant personal and professional growth, adding an intriguing and exciting layer to our approach in telling this story.”
While progress must be made before Attack the Block 2 enters production, Boyega expressed his enthusiasm for being actively involved in the film’s development.
