Logan Paul Shares His Perspective on ‘Oppenheimer’: A Different Take

Date:

Logan Paul, renowned YouTuber and WWE sensation, recently opened up about his unique experience with Christopher Nolan‘s film, ‘Oppenheimer.’

In a candid discussion on his podcast, ImPaulsive, Paul conversed with Australian filmmaker brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, who gained recognition for their acclaimed horror movie, ‘Talk to Me.’ While expressing admiration for the Philippous’ work, Paul revealed his minor critique of their film’s initial pacing. This conversation naturally transitioned to his thoughts on Nolan’s creation.

“I walked out of ‘Oppenheimer,'” admitted Paul, a revelation from the Philippous and his fellow podcast host. When asked to elaborate, ” I struggled to grasp the purpose. ‘What’s the direction here?’ It was mainly dialogue with little action. The entire runtime—90 minutes—was primarily conversations.”

Paul further noted, “The focus was heavily on exposition. It felt like nothing substantial unfolded.”

Interestingly, Paul’s perspective diverges from the consensus. ‘Oppenheimer boasts an impressive score of 88 on it and holds a 93 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The film has also amassed nearly $720 million in global box office earnings.

However, there remains a glimmer of potential for Paul to reassess his stance on ‘Oppenheimer.’ He disclosed that he nearly walked out of Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ after just 18 minutes due to its gradual pacing. Yet, as time passed, the film gradually climbed the ranks and secured a spot among his “top three favorite movies.”

In the world of cinema, diverse opinions often lead to lively discussionPaul distinct take on ‘Oppenheimer’ undeniably adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing conversation.
