Millie Bobby Brown Says She is Ready for “Stranger Things” to End

Date:

In a recent with Women's Wear Daily, Millie Bobby Brown expressed her readiness for the impending conclusion of Netflix'sStranger Things” in its fifth and final season.

The timeline for these last has faced delays due to the strikes by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA. Since the show's pilot episode, Brown has been a pivotal presence as Eleven, a role that catapulted her and her fellow young cast members into worldwide stardom.

Brown conveyed her sentiments, saying, ” I'm prepared for this transition. This has held a significant place in my , much like my high school years. As one graduates and embarks on a new journey, I'm poised to bloom and thrive independently. While I cherish the time spent, it's time to craft my narrative and embrace my path.”

Gaten Matarazzo, Brown's co-, confided in a conversation with earlier this year, admitting trepidation as “Stranger Things” nears its final curtain after its five-season run. Matarazzo reflected, “Anticipation and anxiety intermingle, for there's a yearning to conclude these characters' narratives with a final glimpse into their evolution. Simultaneously, there's a lingering apprehension. The show has not only been a remarkable experience but has also offered considerable job stability. A return to freelance work lies ahead.”

In discussion with Discussing , David Harbour echoed similar sentiments, sharing, “It's an ironic twist – when I embarked on this journey, I never envisioned its conclusion. The show has a special place in my heart, irrespective of my involvement. Almost a decade has elapsed since we initiated season, and it seems fitting for its finale to draw near.”

Harbour further elaborated, “The mixed emotions surface – melancholy interwoven with a sense of excitement. The time has come for us to take flight from this haven to explore new avenues and diverse projects. Simultaneously, it allows the Duffer Brothers to diversify their creative ventures. Their artistic prowess is remarkable, and I eagerly await their forthcoming endeavors. The blend of sentiments is undeniable – a twinge of sadness fused with undeniable certainty.”

In contrast to Brown's outlook, Finn Wolfhard, speaking with Uproxx in January, expressed his reluctance for the series to conclude while conceding that extending it beyond five seasons would be excessive.

Wolfhard shared, “The Duffer brothers have likely scripted a fitting closure within five seasons. At its inception, we couldn't have foreseen even two seasons. We're immensely grateful for the continued support of our . I'm excited about the prospect. The fourth season showcased grandeur, and for the fifth, I anticipate a return to the intricate dynamics of Season 1 while retaining its expansive scale. Ideally, each character's journey will culminate in a gratifying manner for our fans.”

The anticipated commencement of production for “Stranger Things 5” is expected in 2024.
