Universal is ranking of production for a new upcoming Madonna biopic.
According to the Hollywood reporter, the studio has picked up Blonde Ambition, by Elyse Hollander, a movie script that tops the 2016’s Blacklist, the industry’s ranking of Hollywood’s most liked unproduced screenplays.
Michael Deluca, who produce 50 Shades of Gray, is attached to produce the production. The movie will center around the early 1980s as Madonna is working on the first new album in New York City. The movie will center around the music business, her love life, and how she deals with fame.
Madonna moved to New York City from Michigan in the late 1970s to become a dancer but transition into singing and writing songs. After joining a rock band which failed, but Donald waiter transitioned into the dance and pop music.
The Hollywood Reporter reports Hollander worked as an assistant to Alejandro G. Inarritu while he worked on the Academy Award-winning film Birdman.
