Prince’s record label sues Jay Z’s Roc Nation over Tidal streaming

Prince’s record label NPG has filed a lawsuit against Jay Z’s label Roc Nation over streaming the late singer’s music on Tidal without the record label’s permission.

According to reports, Jay Z’s streaming company has allegedly been streaming all of Prince’s music illegally since June 2016.

TMZ reports that before Prince’s death, NPG signed an agreement with Roc Nation allowing Tidal to stream one album, “Hit N Run: Phase 1.”

However, nearly all Prince songs are available on Tidal. Roc Nation said that they were given permission to stream all of Prince’s music, but NPG dismisses those claims.
