Oprah Winfrey defends The Kardashians
Oprah Winfrey understands hard work. Winfrey is a billionaire and has interviewed hundreds of celebrities over the past 30 years. So, she knows a thing or two about talent.
But, recently she had some really surprising comments about one of the biggest and controversial reality stars in recent history, the Kardashians.
Oprah Winfrey defended the Kardashians against the critics by saying they are a hard working family that should be respected for their success.
Lindsay, which documented Lohan’s life and her rehabilitation recovery, was made for the Oprah Winfrey Network and aired in 2014. Winfrey used Lindsay Lohan as an example of someone “uncomfortable” with the responsibility of working on a reality show, Winfrey said, “She’s one of those people who said, ‘Oh yes, sure, I’ll have the cameras follow me, ‘ and then when you realize how much work that really is…”
The 61-year-old media mogul said that the Kardashians are hard working people and recalled how she interviewed them on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” according to reports.
“The Kardashian’s; Khloe, Kourtney and Kim with mum Kris Jenner and step-sister Kylie, are a hardworking family”, says Oprah Winfrey.
Winfrey told KissFM’s Kyle and Jackie O show on Monday the Kardashian’s are basically workaholics.
The former talkshow queen turned network executive said when she visited their home for a seven hour interview, reality show cameras stayed rolling for another seven hours.
“To really create a reality series that looks like something is actually happening, you have to be on all the time,” Winfrey said.
“I went to film them as a family. I couldn’t believe how hard they work. So I disagree that they don’t do work. They have become their own iconic phemon, in this country and abroad, and you don’t get that by not doing some work.”
