In recent days, Ryan Reynolds has been promoting his new holiday film Spirited, starring Will Ferrell. In an interview with Big Issue published over the weekend, Reynolds revealed that he had tried to make a Christmas film featuring his signature character Deadpool.

Reynolds went on to explain the future of Deadpool and what audiences can hope to see down the line. “I would love to see a song-and-dance number in a Deadpool movie. Four years ago, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and I wrote a Christmas movie starring Deadpool. But it got lost in the shuffle of Disney acquiring Fox, and it never got made.” He continued, “Maybe one day we’ll get to make that movie. It’s not a musical, but it’s a full Deadpool Christmas movie. So one day.”
It has yet to be announced, but it looks like Reynolds is considering making a Christmas-themed Deadpool movie. This wouldn’t be the first time he’s done something like this. In 2018, he released a PG-13 holiday version of Deadpool 2 with the new title, Once Upon a Deadpool.
We are still determining if Deadpool will be made into a Christmas film in the coming years.

He also owns a production company, Maximum Effort Productions, which has produced films such as Deadpool (2016) and Free Guy (2021). Reynolds has become known for his comedic persona on social media, where he often posts humorous content. He is married to actress Blake Lively and they have three children together. He was once voted People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2010. Ryan Reynolds continues to be an influential figure in Hollywood and beyond, leaving a lasting mark on the entertainment industry.
