‘Selma’ Director to Direct New Hurricane Katrina Drama

‘Selma' Director , is getting started on her next film and turning her attention to Hurricane Katrina.

The Selma director is developing a feature film centering around a complex mystery and love story set against the backdrop of the hurricane of 2005.

David Oyelowo, is currently in negotiations to produce and star in the upcoming feature film and will mark the third collaboration for DuVernay and Oyelowo.

Ava DuVernay will write, produce and direct the Hurricane Katrina . Since working on the Academy Award nominated movie, Selma, has launched her Selma, which cost only $20 million to make has earned $40 million at the to date.

No details surrounding the movie's have been released. But, with Louisiana film credit expect production to start in the next few months in the French Quarter.
