Was the ‘Selma' movie snubbed in the 72nd Annual Golden Globes?
The filmmakers behind the MLK J.R biopic, did not have an amazing night last night.
The controversial drama entered Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony with four nominations but, only came home with one trophy for the best original song, “Glory” created by John Legend and Common.

The Oprah Winfrey production, described the events leading up to Martin Luther King Jr. march from Selma to Montgomery in 1965, didn't win a single award in any of the three major categories including best drama, which went to Boyhood.
David Oyelowo was nominated for best actor in a drama but lost to Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything. Director Ava DuVernay was also nominated for best director, but lost to Boyhood director Richard Linklater.

Many argue that the reason why Selma lost was because people believe the movie was historically inaccurate. As we reported earlier this month, a History professor said the movie had “significant errors” and a Lyndon B. Johnson scholar criticized the portrayal of the former president.
