‘Spawn’ reboot with Jamie Foxx taps screenwriters for ‘Joker’ and ‘Captain America 4’

According to recent reports, the Joker and Captain America 4 screenwriters have been tapped for the upcoming Spawn reboot. Announced five years ago, news about the new adaptation of Todd McFarlane’s iconic comic book series has been relatively quiet–though this most recent announcement could mean production is set to begin soon.
It was recently announced that Malcolm Spellman, Scott Silver, and Matt Mixon would join the ‘Spawn’ project. The three will work on developing a script for the film, which will serve as a reboot of 1997’s ‘Spawn’, starring Michael Jai White.
