Teen Mom 3 Canceled by MTV after One Season

Date:

Teen Mom 3 has been canceled by MTV and will not return for a second season.

The reality show, which debuted earlier this year, was the third installment of the franchise, which still earns high ratings from Teen Mom 2.

According to Starcasm, the network was unhappy with the new show’s low ratings, as well as cast members’ complaints over how they were portrayed.

Stars Alexandria Sekella, Mackenzie McKee, Briana DeJesus and Katie Yeager all took to social media to express their shock at the show’s cancelation.

DeJesus said on Twitter: “Teen mom 3 was one of the best experiences I ever had! I will never forget it! Time to move on from MTV and do bigger and better things & no I don’t mean become a porn star lol.”

Despite rumors of a possible axe following Jenelle Evans’s arrest, Teen Mom 2 season 5 returns on January 20, 2014.
