The 2023 Emmy Award nominations have been officially announced, and television enthusiasts eagerly await the star-studded event. 

Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown and Television Academy chair Frank Scherma came together virtually to reveal the list of contenders earlier this morning. The eligibility criteria for nomination required shows aired between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023.

Among the most anticipated categories is Best Drama Series, which includes formidable contenders such as Andor, Better Call Saul, The Crown, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, Succession, The White Lotus, and Yellowjackets. The competition for Best Actor in a Drama Series is fierce, with notable names like Jeff Bridges (The Old Man), Brian Cox (Succession), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), and Jeremy Strong (Succession) vying for the accolade.

In the Best Actress in a Drama Series category, we have Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), Keri Russell (The Diplomat), and Sarah Snook (Succession) as strong contenders. The Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series features an impressive lineup, including F. Murray Abraham (The White Lotus), Nicholas Braun (Succession), Michael Imperioli (The White Lotus), Theo James (The White Lotus), Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), Alan Ruck (Succession), Will Sharpe (The White Lotus), and Alexander Skarsgård (Succession).
