The Big Bang Theory is No Longer the Most Popular Show on Network TV

Date:

This is probably a really big deal. ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is still the second highest rated TV show in the key demographic, and it’s most recent episode was watched by 16 million viewers, which is actually down two million from three weeks prior.

However, ‘Empire’ has surged in the ratings in the key demographic of 18-49 year olds beating out ‘The Big Bang Theory’. This will be an extremely big deal for the cast members of ‘Empire’. Currently, ‘The Big Bang Theory’ cast members earn at least $1 million per episode.

Now, that ‘Empire’ is the most popular show on network TV, expect Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard the highest paid actors on TV in the next few months.
