Today marks the first day of filming for The Fantastic Four reboot.
The movie stars Toby Kebbell (Dr. Doom), Tim Blake Nelson as Harvey Elder (Mole Man), Miles Teller as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Kate Mara as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm (The Thing), and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch).
According to OLV, filming for the comic book turned movie will occur in Baton Rouge’s Celtic Media Centre starting today.
The reboot of the Marvel property centered on four astronauts who gain superpowers after cosmic radiation exposure.
The director of “Chronicle”, Josh Trank, will be directing this production. As for plot details out side of that, has been quite secret. However, the internet has speculated as to how the movie will pan out such as a possible X-Men cross-over in the future.
Mark Millar, the Marvel Films creative consult has described the movie as as contemporary take on the comic book.
“The movies I want to be a part of, the movies I want to see, mirror the life that I live, the world that I live in,” he said. “Everything isn’t black and white in the world that we live in. It’s a very grounded superhero film. … It’s so relatable, it mirrors the world we walk around in today.”
