The Movie “Friday the 13th” is Being Made into a TV Series

According to , Jason Voorhees the monster in “” is being scripted to an hour long television series.

Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films and Crystal Lake Entertainmenthave set a deal to produce a new hourlong dramatic series based upon the characters and settings of Friday The 13thSean S. Cunningham, who helmed the 1980 original, will be executive producer along with EFO Films principals Randall Emmett & George Furla, Mark Canton of Atmosphere Entertainment MM, Steve B. Harris of Diversion3 Entertainment, and Ted Fox of Fox Entertainment. Also producing is Horror Inc. president Robert Barsamian, who produced the features.

The new television series will include all of the principal characters from the original  The 13th. The original director Sean S. Cunningham will executive produce the project with the help of Bill Basso from Terminator and Jordu Schell from working as in the .

The original was set in a summer camp closed due to the drowning of an unattended kid. Counselors tried reopning the place but they later discovered that was a big mistake.
