‘The Walk’ Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Giving People Panic Attacks

Date:

Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s new movie The Walk is making movie-goers throw up.

The Walk centers around the true story of Philippe Petit, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and his infamous 1974 tightrope walk between the Twin Towers. According to GQ, during the press screening numerous viewers experienced vertigo. Apparently a 3D, 20-minute tightrope scene set 1,362 feet above ground is making people want to throw up.

With several people describing feelings of dizziness, extreme anxiety, and nausea, director Robert Zemeckis is pretty excited. “[The goal] was to evoke the feeling of vertigo. We worked really hard to put the audience up on those towers and on the wire,” Zemeckis said.

What do you think of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s new movie? Do you plan on watching it in theaters? Share with us your thoughts in the comments below!
