Marvel’s ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ reduced the number of Guardians Of The Galaxy And Zeus interactions in the theatrical cut.
The film holds the distinction of being the lowest-rated movie in the “Thor” series.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, Thor: Love and Thunder is currently the lowest-rated film in the four-installment Thor mini-franchise. After Taika Waititi’s tremendous success with Thor: Ragnarok, it’s clear that there was a lot of interest in more Marvel Studios material. As it turns out, a large portion of what might’ve made the film more popular was eliminated from the theatrical edition.

The notes, which They will include in the forthcoming Blu-ray release for Chris Hemsworth’s blockbuster, include mentions of Chris Pratt and his Guardians of the Galaxy and Russell Crowe’s Zeus. In particular, They deleted four scenes, two showing more interactions between the God of Thunder and the Guardians. At the same time, the other two focused on the Greek God, developing his relationship with Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg. Of course, if they’d been included, there’s no way to know whether these deleted sequences would’ve improved Thor: Love and Thunder’s reception among fans and critics. However, given the comments and reviews we’ve seen online, it certainly appears that including them would’ve made people at least a little happier.
Fortunately, if you buy the Blu-ray for Thor: Love and Thunder, which explores Christian Bale’s antagonist Gorr the God Butcher in greater detail, you’ll be able to see those extra clips.
