Hugh Jackman reveals his casting decision for the next Wolverine movies.
So Hugh Jackman is finishing his time in the X-Men universe by working on several upcoming films and a final Wolverine movie and people are starting to wonder who should replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. That mean’s Hugh Jackman’s promo tour for Pan is full of questions about who should be the next Wolverine. And, according to Hugh Jackman, the answer is pretty straightforward: get Tom Hardy.
This is Wolverine, a “younger” and it looks as though Wolverine is a character that studios will want to keep alive as long as possible. There’s no official word here, obviously, but it would seem that the guy who is currently playing Wolverine will have a major influence on the casting decision.
From MTV News:
“I haven’t really given it a lot of thought,” Jackman said. “I’ve been asked that question a lot, and I’m always like, ‘I don’t wanna make it too easy on the studio to replace me,’ you know? I’ve still got one more to do. I’m sure they’re already talking about it, and there’s some actor [they’ve told] ‘shh, keep it quiet but we want you next…
“He’s younger than me for sure,” Jackman said. “I think Tom Hardy would be a great Wolverine.”
Tom Hardy has become America’s most sought after actors. There are rumors he will replace Daniel Craig on the upcoming James Bond sequel.
