Two new holiday movies are going to film in Detroit after Michigan grants film credit incentives.
According to a press release by the Michigan Film Office, TV One’s original holiday movies, “Royal Family Thanksgiving” and “Royal Family Christmas” are currently filming in metro Detroit through early September.

Featuring an ensemble cast including Vivica Fox (ā6 Ways to Die,ā āIndependence Day: Resurgenceā) and Romeo Miller (āBrotherly Love,ā āMadeaās Witness Protectionā), the storiesĀ follow a middle-class African American family as they navigate the ups and downs of family relationships strained by the holiday season. āRoyal Family Thanksgiving,ā premieres 8 p.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 21, and āRoyal Family Christmasā will air 8 p.m. EST Saturday Dec. 5.
