US TV productions filming in Israel are in jeopardy after rocket attacks.
Military actions in Israel region has forced several productions to evacuate to keep production crews safe.
On Tuesday, the Israeli Defense Forces launched Operation Protective Edge which means that the entire region is allegedly under threat of rocket attacks.
According to TheWrap, the most watched TV series in Israel, “Big Brother Israel” was forced to move the contestants to a safe room to protect the lives of the crew and cast members.
The FX series “Tyrant,” is currently filming in Tel Aviv, a region that has currently been the target of rocket attacks by the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. All of the rockets have all been successfully intercepted, and production has not been suspended, yet.
“Tyrant” centers on an unassuming American family drawn into the workings of a turbulent Middle Eastern nation.
Gideon Raff is the creator of “Tyrant” but, he also has another show in production around Jerusalem. His new show, “Dig” for the USA Network is currently on a pre-planned hiatus, so filming has not been interrupted. But, the rocket attacks do not look like they will be stopping any time soon.
What do you think of the rocket attacks? Should shows continue to film in Israel, if it is such a dangerous location? Where would you rather see these shows film? Share with us your thoughts in the comments below!
