Matthew McConuaghey’s legendary cry “alright, alright, alright” may have hit epic status after he won the 2014 Oscars for Best Actor.
But, did you know that it was first uttered by McConaughey during his very first scene on film as David Wooderson in Dazed And Confused?
Since then, the phrase has become a part of his personality and persona.
In 2011, McConaughey had an interview with George Strouboulopoulos, and McConaughey explains how he tapped into the Wooderson character to come up with the improved phrase. The story does not disappoint, nor does the way McConaughey explain it.
