NBC is looking for aspiring actors and writers for the Second City Emerging Voices Scholarship
Are you an aspiring comedian, actor or writer? NBC’s Second City Emerging Voices Scholarship is giving three scholarships to help assist aspiring talents build their improvisation or sketch writing schools by training at the Second City.
About Second City:
Second City is an improvisational comedy program, best known for launching the improv genre with a theater troupe, which started in Chicago and now has training programs and live theaters in Toronto and Los Angeles. Since 1959, it has become one of the most influential and popular comedy theaters in the world.
Second City Alumni:
The Second City has consistently been a notable starting point for comedians, award-winning actors, directors, and others in show business, including Jordan Peele, Keegan Micahel Key, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, Del Close, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Nia Vardalos, Ryan Stiles, Mike Myers, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Stephen Colbert, and many others.

NBC Second City Emerging Voices Scholarship Awards:
Three scholarships, one in each of the cities with The Second City Training programs – Chicago, Toronto and Hollywood, is awarded for one year in advanced improvisation or sketch writing training. Applications are particularly welcome from candidates from diverse communities. Qualified talent is selected from annual auditions as applicable in each city.
