Patrick Stewart is one of the acclaimed actors working today. His acting career includes various award-winning roles in both television, movies, and theatre.
In a recent interview with SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Stewart shared amazing tips for aspiring and working actors including how he processes a character. For example, Stewart explains that he would take notes and ask himself questions about the character including, “What do people say about the character when he is around?,” What do people say about the character when he is not around? and “What does the character say about himself?” All of which to prepare himself on stage and in front of the character.
Stewart will next be seen on TV in the second season of Blunt Talk, a half-hour comedy executive produced by Seth MacFarlane and Jonathan Ames, in which he plays ‘Walter Blunt,’ a British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news. His performance in season one earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.” Season two will premiere on Starz later this year.
