Robert Pattinson opens up about his acting career and his acting skills.
Robert Pattinson became a household name after starring in the “Twilight” franchise after he was cast as Edward Cullen. But, he admits he feels like an imposter as an actor as a result of “falling into” becoming a famous actor.
The 33-year-old actor told “The Sunday Times” Style magazine: “My friend from school bumped into my form teacher, and they said: ‘It’s so weird what happened to Rob…’ [Some people just] have to show people their talent. I literally think I have none. At all.”
He said that when he reads movie scripts, he will often think: “This would be so cool if some other actor did it.” Robert revealed that his only acting experience before landing the role of Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter films was after-school acting classes.
Despite lacking self-confidence, the star has an impressive acting career. Pattinson has appeared in many movies including the upcoming thriller “The Devil All The Time,” which stars alongside Tom Holland. He also just finished an untitled Christopher Nolan production, and a Netflix biopic “The King” with Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp.
Pattinson says he had to sign a “behavioral contract” for the Netflix production and says he wants to close the gender pay gap in the film industry.
“If it’s a question of me being paid more and getting a worse actress, or me being paid less and getting a better actress, I’ll do it for f***ing free,” he continued.
