Assistant Director – Internal Communications and Engagement (Technology)

Salary: £66,705 – £73,441 per annum

Location: Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London and Manchester

Contract: fixed term for 2 years

Hours: Full time / Part time / Flexible

This is an exciting opportunity for an internal communications and engagement technology specialist to play a pivotal role using engaging and cutting-edge technology to deliver the internal communications and engagement strategy of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Working with the Director of Organisational Development and colleagues in the wider People, Capability and Culture team, you will be responsible for maximising the use of technology to drive improved engagement and communications with CMA colleagues, building capability and supporting our broader digital transformation, to ensure the CMA continues to be a centre of excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development, design and implementation of our strategy for technology to internally communicate and engage with colleagues effectively

  • Engaging with external networks, technology and communications groups to ensure the CMA is at the cutting edge of using technology to improve its organisational development practise

  • Coaching the Internal Communications and Engagement team and ensuring their personal development, career development and continued high performance

  • Influencing our senior leaders and managers about how best they can communicate with and engage with the people they lead

You will need substantial experience of implementing internal communications and engagement technology solutions as part of an internal communications and engagement strategy, with experience of using technology and media to engage and communicate with diverse internal audiences and stakeholders.

You will also need significant experience of delivering a range of complex programmes and projects, as well as experience of leading others and using technology to drive change and improve processes.

  • Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure the best possible audio capture.
  • Prior experience with audio equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Description: We are seeking a vibrant actress to portray Viola, a key supporting character in an upcoming TV series. Viola is employed by a Jamaican CCTV installation company, where she excels in the customer service aspect of her job. She works closely with her colleague Julian, handling client interactions with a playful, sparky personality that exudes energy and charm. Despite her lively demeanor, Viola remains impressively professional, making her an invaluable part of the team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray Viola, capturing her lively, energetic personality and excellent customer service skills.
  • Work closely with the actor playing Julian to establish a dynamic and engaging working relationship on screen.
  • Participate in all scheduled rehearsals and filming sessions to ensure consistent character portrayal.
  • Travel to filming locations in the UK and Jamaica as required by the production schedule.

Requirements:

  • Female, Black, Jamaican, aged 40s.
  • Strong acting experience with the ability to portray a character who is both playful and professional.

We are looking for real couples to tell us their love stories on a new online comedy show. On this show, we follow two well known comedy/reality stars, as they chat to real couples and find out about the journey of their love life.
We are looking specifically for couples whose love stories might not always have been given a platform, these could be couples from the LGBTQ community, they could be interracial couples or even been apart of an arranged marriage. But the possibilities are endless!
The shoot is next Tuesday 9th in London (you do not need to be London based but we willing to travel in) so please urgently get in touch. All necessary covid precautions are being taken so the shoot can go ahead safely for cast and crew. Each couple will be paid £300 for 3 hours of their time.
