Jakira Williams

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Jakira, better known as Neffyraps, uploaded her first song “Dreamer” to SoundCloud in 2014. Music was her passion from an early age, studying piano, clarinet and being self-taught on guitar. Formally know as Nefertiitii, in 2017, she garnered the attention of Vice President of Murder Inc Records, Chris "Gotti" Lorenzo. She appeared on the lead single “Process” from his 'Independence' Album (July 2017). With this, she saw a lane for herself as a go-getter and all around entertainer. In 2018, NeffyRaps worked with Frank Johnson of 300 Ent as host of APTV Live on ABC 2 (WMAR). She hosted two seasons of the show and gave many artists from her city the chance to spit their best bars on local television! Also in 2018, Neffy began her journey as a radio host on The Vibe Session with NeffyRaps on Power 214 in Dallas, TX. Within 6 months, The Vibe Session became the #1 show on the platform, gaining the most amount of monthly listeners and hosting celebrity guests. In early 2019 her momentum gained some major traction. Her music was featured on BET, she toured with mega stars like Ja Rule, and hosted sold out shows across the country. Her music also hit national charts in 2019. “Married to Money” charted on the Digital Radio Tracker Top 150 Independent Artist charts for 17 consecutive weeks. This was her second song to chart in 2019, after her first pop smash “IDGAF". Flash forward to 2021, Neffy has appeared in productions as background cast in Dark City Beneath The Beat (Netflix) and HBO's We Own This City (releasing 2022). Now as Co-Owner of Major Zone Radio in Dallas, TX, her flare and personality garnered one the most talked about internet radio and podcast conglomerates in the city.
