Casting Call for Real Amputee Background Actor in Feature Film
Job Description: A feature film production is seeking a real amputee (aged 18 and older) to portray a “Hospital Patient” in a key background role. This is an opportunity for an amputee to be part of a high-profile film and contribute to the authenticity of the portrayal of a hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform as a hospital patient in a featured background role.
- Follow the directions of the production team and assist in maintaining continuity throughout the filming of scenes.
- Be available for the scheduled time and work professionally with the crew and other actors.
- Contribute to creating a realistic hospital environment within the film’s setting.
Requirements:
- Must be a real amputee, aged 18 or older.
- Previous acting experience is not required but is a plus.
- Must have full flexibility in schedule for the day of shooting.
- Open to non-union submissions.
Compensation:
- SAG-AFTRA rate: $226 for 8 hours of work.

This is a short documentary airing on a major news network in Summer 2021. We are filming in mid-March. Travel and expenses will be provided if necessary. This is a non-union production. Covid protocols will be strictly adhered. Tests will be provided for all talent and crew.
