David Harbour Gets Cast in ‘Gran Turismo’

The “Gran Turismo” Movie Adaptation Has Found Its Leading Man In Netflix’sStranger Things‘ David Harbour, Premiering in 2023.

David Harbour, known for his roles in Stranger Things and Hellboy, is set to star in the Gran Turismo film adaptation by Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions.

The Stranger Things actor will take on the role of a former driver who trains a professional racecar driver, as his gaming skills had previously won him championships in Nissan competitions. The film is inspired by true events and Neill Blomkamp of famous films such as District 9 and Elysium, will be directing it. Additionally, Jason Hall and Zach Baylin are responsible for writing the script.

Doug Belgrad, Dana Brunetti, Asad Qizilbash, and Carter Swan are producing the film adaptation of “Gran Turismo”, with Hall and Yamauchi serving as executive producers. “As one of PlayStation’s longest standing and most beloved franchises, it’s great to be partnering with Columbia Pictures again to bring Gran Turismo to life in an exciting way,” Qizilbash said in a statement. “We can’t wait for audiences to see Neill’s vision of this inspiring true story of gamer turned professional race car driver.”
