Bee (Maria Bakalova) goes to a party with her wealthy girlfriend Sophie (Amandla Stenberg), who hangs out with a group of internet users known to be “nihilistic.” an official description reads. “When a group of rich 20-somethings plans a hurricane party at a remote family mansion, a party game goes awry in this fresh and funny look at backstabbing, fake friends, and one party gone very, very wrong.”
The film stars Pete Davidson, Amandla Stenberg, Myha’la Herrold, Chase Sui Wonders, Rachel Sennott, and Lee Pace alongside Bakalova and Stenberg. Reijn’s second project will be a slasher movie after her directorial debut in 2019 with Instinct.
The film, written by Sarah DeLappe and directed by David Hinojosa and Ali Herting, debuted at the South by Southwest Film Festival 2022. They created the screenplay based on a short story by Kristen Roupenian that was first published in The New Yorker in 2017.
The film ‘Bodies, Bodies, Bodies’ is scheduled to be released in select theaters on August 5 before expanding to a wider audience on August 12. Check out the trailer below.
