M3GAN 2.0: Jemaine Clement and More Join the Exciting Sequel!

Date:

Key Takeaways:
• M3GAN 2.0, the sequel to last year’s sci-fi thriller M3GAN is now in production.
• The popular stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are reprising their roles in M3GAN 2.0.
• Other returning cast members include Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps.
• Ivanna Sakhno, Jemaine Clement, Timm Sharp, and Aristotle Athari are new to the sequel.
• Production ties exist with James Wan, Jason Blum, and Allison Williams.

Have you heard the exciting news? M3GAN, the successful sci-fi thriller that y’all loved, is getting a sequel! After raking in huge bucks at the box office last year, Universal Pictures along with production companies Blumhouse and Atomic Monster dropped the news about the sequel just two weeks into the movie’s release.

So we’ve got Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, the stars of M3GAN, coming back on set for M3GAN 2.0. But wait, there’s more! According to Deadline, Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps, members from the original cast, are coming back too.

Yet, as exciting as it is to see familiar faces, new ones can be thrilling too! The sequel also brings in fresh talent, like Ivanna Sakhno from Ahsoka, Jemaine Clement from What We Do in the Shadows, Timm Sharp from Blunt Talk, and Aristotle Athari from the iconic Saturday Night Live!

Let me give you a little recap on what went down in the first movie ( I hope you remember your favorites!). M3GAN is not just any ordinary doll. Designed by this amazing toy company roboticist, Gemma, M3GAN is an advanced artificial intelligence robot that becomes the best friend and protector of the child it’s paired with. There’s a twist though. When Gemma becomes the unexpected caregiver of her 8-years old niece, Cady, she decides to pair Cady with the M3GAN prototype. Boom! Unthinkable consequences unfold from there.

The team behind M3GAN 2.0 includes producers like the horror genius James Wan, Jason Blum, and our favorite Allison Williams. Gerard Johnstone, who directed the first M3GAN, is back for the sequel. He’s working with screenplay writer Akela Cooper.

M3GAN 2.0 is set to hit the theatres on June 27, 2025. There’s a lot of hype and expectation around this one and we can’t wait to watch it. What about you? Are you excited to see M3GAN 2.0? What do you think about the stellar cast? Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts in the comments below. Until then, stay tuned for more exciting updates on M3GAN 2.0.
