The Taika Waititi-directed “Star Wars” film might debut in late 2023, according to Lucasfilm executive Kathleen Kennedy.
Taika Waititi’s next Star Wars project, which will be released in 2023, might be the first of many.
While no specific release month has been set, Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm’s president, said in a recent interview with Total Film that the Waititi project is anticipated to premiere in late 2023. She said they are still working on movies in the Star Wars universe that will connect with the TV show. “As we leave the saga, we have all this great, exciting work happening on the television side that informs so much about where we’re going. We want to be very intentional about that. And we have great talent that we’re working with – people who care so deeply about what the next iteration of Star Wars is and about getting people back into movie theatres, so we can really come out with a bang. That’s important to us.”
Some news was also announced at the Star Wars Celebration event, including Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, and even Indiana Jones 5.
