Description
We are looking for music educators to join our Music Education Services department for teaching positions! This role will provide music instruction at local schools. Ideal educators will have a passion for teaching music and a high level of energy. Interviewing now for Fall 23 School Year!
Essential Functions (not all-inclusive):
- Teach music classes in schools both in group settings and in one-on-one settings based on contracts with each school. Class sizes vary from a few students to over 50 kids.
- Use recruiting tools, set up instrument testing events, recruitment nights, and other programs to entice kids at a school to join the band/orchestra program. This may require on-site activities after school hours.
- Prepare lesson plans, curriculum and benchmarking for all students, report on the progress of students against those benchmarks via progress reports and report cards. Benchmarks for each instrument and experience level will be provided.
- Maintain quality relationships with school administration and principals to secure schedules for classes, notify schools of changes to classes or schedules, and notify the office if students are not attending or have other issues in class.
- Coordinate concerts, solo & ensemble activities, and other events and performances to engage with students and parents.
- Work with retail store and education representatives to make sure students have the instrument and supplies necessary to be successful in class.
- Teach summer lessons and continuing education activity to students that wish to continue over the summer.
- Additional duties as assigned.

To join our band, you’ll need the following experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required in Music Education
- 3-5 years of music teacher experience (new grads may be considered with required completion of internal training and mentoring programs)
- State Teaching license required
- Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance

Compensation Range: $20/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. This role may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.

For our next episode of Chicago Fire, we are searching for kids ages 6 to 11, with JOAN PHILO WORK PERMITS, who are available for a one-day shoot sometime within the next week or so. There will be a Covid test two days before at Cinespace Studio (It takes about one hour).
We will be casting approximately 12 Children for a FUN INDOOR SCENE.
The date is TBD as production is still figuring out the filming schedule.
We want to have a parent/guardian who is flexible enough to take their child, if chosen, to the filming date and covid testing.
WE STRANGERS needs an additional STAND IN for tomorrow (Utility), Friday.

Rate of Pay: $180 for up to 10 hours, plus overtime at time and one half.

Purpose of the Role:
The Booking Assistant will provide administrative support to the Vice President – Programming and Booking Manager in our Broadway, Symphony, Family and Music Touring Divisions. The ideal candidate should be passionate about entertainment, entrepreneurial, self-motivated and open to working in an environment where he/she is capable of performing administrative duties rapidly. The individual should be flexible, highly organized, proficient in Microsoft Excel, and have the ability to multi-task under pressure. Administrative duties include answering incoming phone calls for the Vice President – Programming, coordinating meetings and schedules, preparing expense reports, gathering venue availabilities, venue calendar management, travel booking/coordinating for executive staff, special projects and personal assistance as needed. The ability to work unexpected frequent overtime is required. Growth opportunities exist for top performers.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Assist the booking process by outlining a tour’s full needs and translating outline into an expense budget for labor, production equipment, venue costs, hospitality needs, and other event logistics
· Gather venue availability, ticket scalings, and additional information on local operating conditions such as sales taxes and artist withholdings required for submitting offers to agents
· Keep schedule for VP- Head of Programming to review the marketing plan for each event with the Marketing Department prior to the event’s announcement and public OnSale
· Track sales goals for each event and maintain contact with Marketing on progress in achieving sales goals
· On-Site Show Coverage as Promoter Representative, as needed, with tasks including settlement duties with touring act, local co-presenters, and/or venue
· Assist VP of Programming in creation of touring event opportunities
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Touring and/or booking experience in live entertainment, comedy, or music preferred
· Strong attention to detail and organization skills are a must
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
· Polished written and verbal communication is a must to be successful in this role
