Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc. (GWCI) is casting for the new series “DFS,” which is inspired by a popular Wondery podcast. We are looking for individuals to portray featured breast cancer patients in a support group setting. This opportunity is to work as background actors in a project that aims to present authentic and meaningful representations of individuals battling breast cancer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in scenes as a member of a breast cancer support group.
- Portray the role of a breast cancer patient with sensitivity and authenticity.
- Be willing to appear on camera in accordance with the character’s requirements, which may include appearing without wigs or head coverings if your character is depicted as having hair loss due to treatment.
Requirements:
- Open to SAG-AFTRA members.
- We are specifically seeking:
- Individuals who have undergone a mastectomy.
- Female identifying individuals who wear wigs due to hair loss from treatment.
- Individuals who are bald or have visibly patchy hair and are willing to appear on camera without a wig or head covering.
- Must be comfortable portraying emotional and potentially vulnerable scenes related to breast cancer experiences.
- Availability for the specified filming date(s) and location.
- Ability to follow direction and work well with others, including crew members and other cast.
- Prior acting experience is not required, but a willingness to participate in a supportive and respectful manner is essential.
Compensation:
- The filming rate is $208 for 8 hours of work. Overtime, if applicable, will be paid in accordance with SAG-AFTRA regulations.

We are currently seeking a young boy aged 4-6 years old to play the role of a sibling in a background extra role for a church scene in an upcoming production. This is a non-speaking part that requires the child to act naturally and follow simple directions within a set environment. This role is pivotal in adding authenticity and depth to the scene.
