Storyline: The film “Wings” tells a poignant tale of a family torn apart by choices and dreams. Odette’s brothers, defying their father’s will, transform into swans and venture into the complexities of adult life, leaving behind the safety of their nest.

Role: Edmund Anderson

• Gender: Male
• Age Range: 50-56
• Ethnicity: Caucasian
• Character Description: Edmund Anderson is the patriarch of the family, a character deeply affected by the loss of his wife. He is a perfectionist at heart, exuding kindness and sweetness, which he often masks. Edmund grapples with depression and OCD, making his character complex and layered. He sees reflections of his late wife in Odette, his favorite child, and guides her to emulate her mother’s skills. This role is a supporting character in the film, demanding a nuanced performance that captures the essence of a loving yet troubled father.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray the character of Edmund Anderson, adhering to the script and director’s vision.
• Participate in rehearsals and read-throughs as scheduled.
• Work collaboratively with other cast members and the production team.
• Be available for the entire duration of the shoot (March 12-17, 2024) in Tallahassee, FL.
• Maintain professional conduct on set and contribute to a positive working environment.

Requirements:

• Male actor, aged 50-56, Caucasian.
• Strong acting skills, with the ability to portray complex emotional states and character depth.
• Prior experience in drama/fantasy genres is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work well under direction and adapt to character developments.
• Reliability and commitment to the project’s schedule and goals.

Compensation:

• Rate of Pay: $125 per day.
• Contract includes an additional 10% on top of the daily rate.

Casting Call: “Ami”

Storyline: The film revolves around Jaffar, a character grappling with the challenges of loneliness and the responsibility of caring for his schizophrenically ill mother.

Available Roles:

• Arab Men (3 roles available)
  • Gender: Male
  • Age Range: 25-40
  • Complexion: Olive, with a preference for white Arab appearance with dark hair.
  • Language Requirement: Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities:

• Actors will be required to portray characters that are integral to the main storyline, involving emotional and dramatic scenes.
• Must be able to effectively convey the nuances of the character and interact convincingly with other cast members.
• Attend all scheduled rehearsals and costume fittings.
• Be available for the entire duration of the shoot from April 16-21, 2024.
• Collaborate with the director and other crew members to bring the vision of the film to life.

Requirements:

• Previous acting experience in film, television, or theater is preferred.
• Must be fluent in Arabic.
• Ability to portray a range of emotions and interact authentically with other characters.
• Must be reliable, professional, and able to take direction well.
• Actors local to Tallahassee, FL, or those able to arrange their own accommodation and transportation are preferred.

Compensation:

• Rate of Pay: $125 per day
• Additional: Plus 10% compensation

Casting Call:  Actor/Actress for Feature Film “Ami”

Storyline: The film revolves around Jaffar, who navigates through the challenges of loneliness and various obstacles in life, including caring for his mentally ill schizophrenic mother.

Roles Available:

1. Role: Layla
   • Gender: Female
   • Age Range: 20-25
   • Ethnicity: Palestinian
   • Characteristics: Layla is characterized by her cheerful demeanor, kindness, and angelic behavior, especially towards Jaffar. She grapples with pride in her identity, displaying a mix of uncertainty and resilience. She predominantly wears a hijab throughout the film.
   • Language Requirement: Must be fluent in Arabic.
   • Role Type: Lead

Job Responsibilities:

• Commit to the full shooting schedule.
• Portray the character of Layla authentically, respecting the cultural and emotional nuances of the role.
• Collaborate with the director and fellow cast members to bring the character and story to life.
• Participate in any necessary rehearsals and script read-throughs.
• Follow the direction and guidance of the director and production team.

Requirements:

• Female actor aged 20-25.
• Palestinian or able to authentically portray a Palestinian character.
• Must have an olive-skinned complexion and dark hair.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
• Previous acting experience preferred but not essential.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States.
• Willingness to travel to and stay in Tallahassee, FL for the duration of the shoot.

Compensation:

• Rate of Pay: $125 per day.
