Job Description: We are casting for a new feature film directed by AJ Tesler, focused on showcasing the stories and talents of individuals with disabilities. The film will be shot in Central Pennsylvania in September 2024. We are specifically seeking a young lead actress and volunteer extras.
Roles:
BROOKE – LEAD:
- Description: 9-year-old Caucasian girl with Cerebral Palsy. Brooke is non-speaking, with some physical disabilities. She can walk but prefers her chair. Her smile can light up a room, and she has a subtle sense of humor. Brooke responds well to music, which helps her focus and even brings her to dance.
- Responsibilities: Portray Brooke in various scenes, demonstrating her character’s responses to music and interactions with her family.
- Requirements: Female, 9 years old, Caucasian, with Cerebral Palsy. Must be able to convey emotions and interact naturally on camera.
VOLUNTEER EXTRAS:
- Description: Local children with disabilities to be featured throughout the film.
- Responsibilities: Participate in various scenes showcasing the everyday lives and interactions of children with disabilities.
- Requirements: Children with disabilities local to Central Pennsylvania.

We are casting for the short film Marina, seeking a talented young Latino boy, aged 8-12 years old, who is D/deaf or hard of hearing. This is a paid opportunity under the SAG/AFTRA Short Film Agreement. The role involves performing in American Sign Language (ASL), so strong familiarity with ASL is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
