Project Manager/ Analyst – CMS (Entertainment Studio / Media)

Long term contract

Day 1 Onsite Culver City, CA

Hybrid – 3 days onsite / week

Job Summary:

The EBS IS&T team is directly responsible for the technology strategy and delivery of solutions and IT systems used to enable the Apple TV+ team line of business. The CMS Project Manager/Business Analyst role maintains a strong awareness of the processes and systems utilized by all Apple TV+ lines of business. This person is responsible for the integrity of the CMS which serves our Apple Studios teams. A blend of studio/ entertainment business, technical acumen, and project management, coupled with a creative eye and experience managing site content and imagery is critical to success in this role.

Key qualifications

  • Proactively take ownership of the integrity of the content on the CMS platform through standardization of the look and feel, imagery and iconography.
  • Prior experience working with media production teams and understanding of their workflows and unique challenges.
  • Familiarity with using and editing in a CMS platform.
  • Understanding of global corporate business processes and their relationship to technology
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, unwavering curiosity, and delivery mentality
  • Communicates effectively with personnel at all levels (staff to executive)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Content Project Management
  • Track progress of content page builds of a large group of stakeholders and resolve blockers.
  • Manage and prioritize all content changes coming from the business stakeholders.
  • Prioritize the work of the CMS Content Manager
  • With the Content Manager institute and manage a QC process all pages and links
  • Becoming familiar with content context to point out inconsistencies to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all content is processed through Legal QC and feedback is incorporated.
  • Work with internal photographer on coordinating imagery for each of the content pages.
  • Clear imagery with Legal and track the rights windows of all imagery used on the platform to ensure they continue to be clear to use Learn editing functionality and features of the CMS in order to make changes.
  • Monitor mobile version UX/UI bugs to ensure integrity of the mobile version and submit UX/UI tickets to correct inconsistencies.

Business Analyst

  • Facilitate process and technology discussions across functionally and regionally disparate groups.
  • Coordinate the delivery of new systems and extensions of existing systems capabilities.
  • Evaluate options against a variety of factors and recommend long and short-term strategies.
  • Lead and/or participate in the development of functional requirements technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of trends and best practices within Apple.
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify technology needs and ensure documentation is submitted.
  • Create and communicate deployment schedules of new system features to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute updates to the weekly scorecard for your area and flag risks to the timeline.
  • Create and define Epics and Features with high level details of user requirements.
  • Create user stories with clear user requirements, acceptance criteria and use cases.
  • Making decisions on development priority for each sprint for your epics
  • Create tickets for the design team to facilitate designs to include in development tickets.
  • Present Epics and Stories to design and development team when planning
  • Submit, manage, and test bug and enhancement tickets to the CMS vendor.

Education/Experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
  • Entertainment workflow familiarity preferred.
  • 5-10 years related experience PMP or other project management certification a plus.

Pay Range: $70/hr – $75/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. The Scrum Master/Project Manager role maintains a strong awareness of the processes and systems utilized by all lines of business. This person is responsible for motivating the Product, Design and Development teams, tracking action items and alleviating any issues to enable to team to work efficiently and at maximum capacity. A blend of studio/entertainment business and technical acumen coupled with scrum master/project management discipline is critical to success in this role.

Key qualifications

· Proactively take ownership in creating a structured environment for the the project team to thrive and deliver

· Prior experience working with media production teams and understanding of their workflows and unique challenges is a must

· Comprehensive understanding of marketplace solutions that support studio production workflows

· Significant experience building, maintaining, and adjusting a complex project plan and roadmap with multiple dependencies

· Experience with project scenario planning, proposing various implementation approaches based on multiple dependencies

· Working knowledge of technical terminology in order to accurately capture action items and grasp implications and dependencies.

· Understanding of global corporate business processes and their relationship to technology

· Excellent problem solving abilities, embodying a self starter attitude and motivation to deliver

· Communicates effectively with personnel at all levels (staff to executive)

· Ability to create clear and concise presentations, turning complex concepts into digestible for clients

· Hands-on experience managing large scale custom development technology projects

· Effectively coordinates work and communication across disparate groups of individuals specifically development, design and product

· Hands-on experience defining and documenting process flows

Duties and Responsibilities

· Serve as the Scrum Lead for agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and ensuring adherence to agile principles

· Collaborate with Product Owners, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables

· Ensure the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise

· Track and remove obstacles that prevent the team from providing business value

· Tracking and monitoring daily tasks of all teams to ensure it aligns with timeline and priorities

· Track and follow-up on all action items and blockers which arose from meetings or discussions to ensure they are implemented or addressed.

· Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

· Communicate and re-communicate project vision

· Facilitate planning and execution management sessions across technical and functional teams

· Responsible for facilitating and conducting all scrum events including, standup, backlog refinement, sprint refinement, sprint planning, sprint demos, retrospective, quarterly planning.

· Document and maintain a detailed project plan, coordinating with the relevant stakeholders to solicit updates

· Identify, document and manage project plan related issues and risks, including facilitating mitigation discussions and/or creating documentation for escalation purposes as necessary

· Coordinate with the Product Manager and delivery teams to understand overall roadmap priorities and ensure detailed execution plans align with these priorities; highlight conflicts or gaps to enable resolution

· Create and manage the weekly status reporting for executive stakeholders and senior leadership

· Evaluate options against a variety of factors and recommend long and short term strategies

· Develop and maintain a working knowledge of trends and best practices within Apple

· Create and communicate deployment schedules of new system features to relevant stakeholders

· Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of agile practices within the organization.

· Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

· Collaborate with technical leads and architects to ensure alignment with technical strategies and standards.

Requirement:

  • The Art Director designs content and interfaces under the limited direction of an Associate Creative Director.
  • This position requires a proven track record of graphic design and art direction (interactive, packaging, retail graphics, Corporate ID, etc.)
  • Particularly for the marketing of major brands; a strong knowledge of creative development processes.

Description

  • Accountable for successful conception and execution of visual creative direction.
  • Regularly reviews creative work with the group’s senior creative staff to get feedback on direction, and to ensure the work is aligned with other activities in the group.
  • Delivers the art direction of an interactive project, from concept through to code.
  • Develops innovative and on-strategy designs and experiences that meet the objectives of the assignment.
  • Solves problems conceptually in collaboration with the broader interactive team, including writers, UX designers, creative technologists, and developers. Presents persuasively and clearly articulating design rationale.
  • Communicates effectively — verbally and in writing — with other creatives and product managers, engendering trust and respect.
  • Manages the work of interactive designers and art directs photographers and illustrators as necessary.
