Job Details: Discovery Channel is bringing its hit show, Expedition X with Josh Gates, to Savannah! We are on the lookout for individuals with ghost stories that are too incredible to believe. This is your chance to share your unique paranormal experiences on a national platform. Whether you are a professional paranormal investigator, a sensitive, or just someone with a bizarre, unexplainable experience, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in a filmed interview, detailing your paranormal experience in Savannah.
• Provide any relevant materials or evidence to support your story (if available).
• Interact with the host, Josh Gates, and possibly engage in on-site visits to the locations of your paranormal experiences.
• Be open to discussing your experiences in detail, including any emotions or sensations felt during the encounter.

Requirements:

• Must be located in or able to travel to Savannah, GA for the filming.
• Aged 18 or above.
• Comfortable on camera and able to articulate your story clearly.
• No previous television experience is required.
• Must be willing to sign a release form for your appearance on the show.

Compensation:

• Participants will receive a stipend for their time and story. The exact amount will be discussed upon selection.

Casting Call: Crew Members for Independent Film “Alarum”

Job Details: “Alarum” is an independent film set in a thrilling world of espionage and action. The story revolves around Joe and Lara Travers, a former assassin couple, who find themselves embroiled in a deadly game of cat and mouse with global intelligence agencies and a relentless CIA agent named Chester. The film requires a dedicated and talented crew to bring this high-stakes narrative to life.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the director, producers, and other crew members to realize the vision of the film.
• Attend pre-production meetings and rehearsals as required.
• Be present on set during the filming period, adhering to the schedule and requirements of your specific department.
• Ensure all equipment and materials for your department are prepared, maintained, and used effectively.
• Assist in problem-solving and adapting to changes or challenges that arise during production.
• Maintain a professional and respectful working environment at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in film production, with a preference for those who have worked on independent films.
• Specific skill sets according to department (e.g., camera operation, sound engineering, lighting, makeup, costume design, set design, etc.).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
• Must be a local resident or able to work locally (no relocation or travel compensation).
• Commitment to the entire duration of the project, from prep through wrap.

Project Details: We are currently seeking talented individuals to join the crew of our upcoming independent feature film, a Coming of Age Dramedy set in Savannah, GA. This project operates under the SAG Interim Agreement, and all selected candidates must be local to the Savannah area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Production Designer: Conceptualize and create the overall visual style of the film, working closely with the director to bring the vision to life.
• Production Sound: Capture high-quality on-set sound and collaborate with the post-production team to ensure seamless audio integration.
• Costume Designer: Design and coordinate costumes to enhance character development and fit the overall aesthetic of the film.
• Location Manager: Scout and secure suitable filming locations, coordinate logistics, and ensure a smooth production process on-site.
• Production Coordinator: Assist in the planning and execution of various production tasks, ensuring efficient workflow on set.
• Key Hair/Key Makeup: Responsible for the hair and makeup design and execution, creating looks that enhance the characters and storytelling.
• Key Grip/Gaffer: Manage the lighting and grip departments, working closely to achieve the desired visual atmosphere.
• Props Master: Source, create, and manage all props needed for the film, ensuring continuity and authenticity.
• Transpo Captain: Oversee transportation logistics, ensuring the timely and safe arrival of the cast, crew, and equipment.

Requirements:

• All candidates must be Savannah Union Locals.
• Previous experience in a similar role on film productions is preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
