JOB SUMMARY: Provides technical management, inclusive of budget and schedule, for the design and development of the audio, video, projection and/or lighting systems for a large multi-faceted theme park attractions and area development site/sound.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishes quantitative requirements and specifications based on interpreting creative intent for audio, video, projection and or lighting systems.
  • Produces scopes of work and manages progress from design through installation.
  • Reviews designs and documentation from vendors ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and specifications.
  • Organizes, leads and participates in multi-system control specifications.
  • Leads production reviews at vendor locations ensuring product quality, specification conformance and schedule accuracy.
  • Develops and oversees project schedules and budgetary demands.
  • Supervises installation, test and adjustment of A/V/P/L systems to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Oversees contractor’s mock-up or prototype efforts to ensure results reflect the final installed system.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Supervises Vendors and their installation, integration, and design of systems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. State of the art knowledge of audio/video/projection/lighting technologies and software is required. Knowledge of controls systems and AutoCAD systems is required.

SCOPE: Manages the design and development of the audio, video, and or lighting projection of systems for large multi-faceted theme park attractions.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Master’s degree in: Engineering or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 0-1 year previous experience with turnkey projects, specifically within the entertainment/theme park industry is preferred. 3-5 Years: Relevant project management experience is required. 5-7 Years: Relevant combined audio/video design and development experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB SUMMARY: Leads efforts in digital marketing by supporting strategy development, providing creative guidance and supervising project execution with both internal team members and external agency/vendors. Oversees the creation of compelling and brand-centric designs for all digital media channels including social, web sites, integrated micro-sites, online ads, graphics, pop-ups, user downloadable content, email newsletters, mobile media, and other interactive marketing materials for deployment on UOR websites, UOR promotional websites, promotional partner websites and various display networks. Insures on-time and on-budget execution of all projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages digital creative projects that include creating comps and prototypes, setting design style, and providing direction for digital content in various digital media channels.
  • Works with the Executive Producer, ACDs, Brand Communication & Strategy, Project Management, Legal and Licensed Partners, etc. to manage projects and workload. Takes initiative to move projects along according to schedule with high efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Collaborates with other creative teams, departments and external agency/vendors in conceptualizing and executing effective original work. Brings fresh ideas and innovation to the table while always helping to elevate the work of others. Drives work of the digital creative team to successful conclusion, while pushing the brand forward. Ensures work is executed with high levels of efficiency while maintaining the vision and tone of the UO brand or specific campaign.
  • Inspire and direct creative teams, agency/vendors and contractor resources as needed.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Visual Communication Design (Graphic Design), Web or UI UX Design, Advertising, Film Editing or related field combined with outstanding creative portfolio.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years of graphic arts design experience years of experience in advertising agency, in-house agency, graphic design field or marketing environment with portfolio of relevant creative work
  • Experience in like industry (travel, tourism, entertainment) and with like targets/demographics (teens/tweens, vacationers, Floridians, Hispanics) a plus
  • Experience in the creative development and leading projects from concept to completion
  • Effectively QA and approve work for final output with agency/vendors
  • Experience proofing marketing assets and providing concrete direction
  • Ability to evaluate photography and video for quality and effectiveness
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the management of conceptual scenic development and art development plus the execution of all Scenic, Set Decoration, Props and Graphics. Responsible for building marquee and capital estimates plus managing project financials; establish, maintain and lead a competent and experienced design staff as well as décor and prop teams. Responsible for guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction, legal requirements and safety protocols for all projects. Implement efficient and timely document control.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for management of all Scenic Design Development including the creation of concept artwork, design drawings and construction documents, plus, set decoration, props and graphics.
  • Manage project art direction coordination of all scenic design elements to meet deadlines on time and within budget for the Art & Design Department. Accountable for the design execution for Project prep, install, operation/maintenance, strike and restock.
    Oversee the planning process and manpower of prep, install, and strike schedules. Oversee scheduling and supervising crews for projects. Develop all set decorating and props needs
  • Manage and oversee budget projections for all scenic, signage, set decorating, and prop requirements for projects. Manage the budget processes for all services utilized by the project – through concept, design, prep, installation and reconciliation. Manage vendor interface by acquiring estimates for design elements. Work with UO purchasing to get pricing and to manage process. Oversee production of bid package materials.
  • Manage on Scenic Development Staff to include Senior Scenic Designers, Senior Graphic Designers, AutoCAD Draftsmen, Sketch-up Artist, Illustrators, Senior Art Supervisors, Décor Lead, Creative Consultant and Technical Consultants. Oversee hiring and work assignments. Ensure compliance of design staff EHS training

  • Responsible for the management and allocation of all Scenic, Set Dressing/Prop inventories. Resources including but not limited to tools, equipment, prop materials, and signage hardware
  • Responsible for management of the final production of all essential photo and written documentation regarding all design projects. Manage the assembly and delivery of all post design documents to the Design Studio Administrator.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ Years: Management experience in professional theater, theme park, industrial/corporate entertainment or hospitality.
  • College degree preferred but not required with experience taken into consideration.
  • Well-rounded experience in all areas of entertainment inclusive of but not limited to performance, technical, contracting, project management, team leadership;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
