Job Description: We are looking for a Parabolic Microphone Operator to assist in capturing live field audio during the Virginia vs Wake Forest game at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC. Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a wired parabolic microphone dish along the sidelines or endline to capture the general sounds of the game.
- Follow the gameplay closely, adjusting the microphone to capture optimal audio as the action unfolds.
- Work in coordination with the broadcast team to ensure continuous high-quality audio capture.
- Stand for long periods and move along the field as needed to follow the action.
- Adapt to outdoor conditions, including varying weather, while maintaining performance.
Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and capable of standing and moving for extended periods.
- A basic understanding of football or general sports is necessary to effectively follow the game and capture relevant audio.
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure the best possible audio capture.
- Prior experience with audio equipment is advantageous but not mandatory.
