Damian Bao Casting is launching an open call for Korean talents for Bad English, an upcoming dramatic short film about a newly single Korean American woman who tries to retake her son’s first school picture with her two sisters.
Bad English is currently being produced via the coveted American Film Institute Directing for Women Workshop program and was a Julia S. Gouw Short Film Challenge semi-finalist in its inaugural year.
Rehearsal/ Shoot dates: July 28- August 8, 2023 (TBC)
Shoot Location: Los Angeles, CA
Contract: SAG-AFTRA/AFI Short Film Agreement
Paid casting opportunity
Open to union and non-union talent. No prior acting experience is required.
Open to all Korean or Korean American talents as long as you will be in Los Angeles during the shoot dates.

- $100.00 for 8 hours, with an 8-hour guarantee.
- Time and a half pay after 8 hours.
