Job Description: Walt Disney Studios is seeking talented dancers to fill roles of villagers in the upcoming feature film ‘MOANA’. We are looking for individuals who exhibit strong dance skills and are trained and versatile in Polynesian dance. This is an inclusive call, and we are looking for dancers of all ages, gender identities (female, trans, non-binary, and male), and Pacific Islander descent, although all are welcome to apply. Special consideration will be given to those with robust dance backgrounds and specialties in related dance styles.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the choreography team led by Tiana Nonosina Liufau.
- Learn and perform complex dance routines accurately.
- Portray the role of a villager through expressive dance and movement.
- Attend all rehearsals and perform at scheduled shoot times.
- Maintain a high level of energy and stamina for performances.
- Follow directions from the choreographer and film director closely.
Requirements:
- Strong dance skills, with an emphasis on Polynesian dance styles.
- Ability to learn and execute complex choreography.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional work ethic.
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing demands of a film production environment.
- Ability to work well with a team and take direction effectively.
- Open to all ages and gender identities; Pacific Islander descent is preferred but not exclusive.
- Special consideration for specialists in Polynesian dance.
Compensation Details:
- The pay range for this role is between $3,105.00 – $3,725.00 per week, subject to the terms of the SAG-AFTRA collective bargaining agreement.
- Additional details regarding pay rate will depend on factors including but not limited to engagement length, production location, budgetary considerations, and the actor’s experience and prominence.
