Casting Call for Talented Musician for a Movie Role
Job Details: Slate Casting is excited to announce a casting opportunity for an upcoming movie. We are seeking a Black female singer who is proficient in playing the keyboard or guitar. This is a fantastic chance for talented musicians looking to expand their horizons into acting or to add a prestigious movie role to their portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring authenticity and musicality to a character integral to the film’s storyline.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform musical pieces proficiently on the keyboard or guitar as required by the script.
- Work closely with the director and music supervisor to embody the character through both acting and musical performance.
- Attend all rehearsals and take direction to ensure a seamless integration of music and acting.
- Participate in promotional activities related to the movie, which may include interviews, photoshoots, and public appearances.
Requirements:
- Must be a Black female, aged 30 years or older.
- Experienced singer with the ability to perform live.
- Proficient in playing the keyboard or guitar.
- Comfortable with acting or willing to receive direction and coaching on performance.
- Available for the entire shooting schedule and potential promotional events post-production.
- Must have a professional attitude and be punctual and reliable throughout the production.
Compensation:

This is a short documentary airing on a major news network in Summer 2021. We are filming in mid-March. Travel and expenses will be provided if necessary. This is a non-union production. Covid protocols will be strictly adhered. Tests will be provided for all talent and crew.
